Jana Brankov, MSc, RP, RMFT
As an Individual & Relationship Therapist, I help individuals, couples and families make lasting, positive changes in their lives.
I connect with each person in an accepting way that draws on their strengths and supports their values and personal integrity. I provide both short and long term counselling and integrate solution focused, emotion focused, narrative and dialogic therapy approaches in order to meet each person’s particular needs.
Having completed extensive training in Couple and Family Therapy, I can help with parenting dilemmas, relationship struggles, separation and divorce, blended family issues, empty nest feelings or fertility and adoption challenges. I also support caregivers through the challenges of their day-to-day experience.
With individual clients, I most often explore anxiety, depression, grief, loss of relationship and ambiguous loss.
I practise from a strength-based, person-centered perspective, offering a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.
In our initial session, I will be interested in getting to know you, and I will ask what brought you to counselling and what positive changes you hope to see as a result of our conversations.
Alicia Yurichuk, MSc, RP
As a Registered Psychotherapist and an experienced Individual, Couple and Family Therapist, my goal is to help you move past ‘blocks’ and patterns that are holding you back from realizing your full potential and happiness, both personally and in your important relationships.
I understand that the idea of going to therapy can be intimidating or daunting to some, which is why it is important for me to create a space where people feel like they can be themselves. My approach is strength based, non-judgmental, collaborative, supportive yet steadily challenging, and I use humour and creativity to connect with people more authentically.
I help people overcome struggles such as anxiety, depression, loss, and low self-confidence or people generally feeling ‘stuck’ and wanting change or a new direction for their life. Sometimes this need for change can be activated through life events such as loss, separation, having children, work related stress, relationships or an overall “blasé” feeling in life.
In couples therapy, we will work together to move forward from feeling stuck in past hurts, frustrating communication patterns, and depleted passion and intimacy to moving toward the relationship that both partners long for and need, which often means more honesty, openness, trust, understanding, curiosity, and connection.
If this this is the kind of transformation you are ready to explore, please contact me to set up an initial appointment.
